Cesar Rivas-Sandoval Appointed to Lead Westcliff Athletics
Westcliff University proudly announced the appointment of Cesar Rivas-Sandoval as its new director of athletics.
Rivas-Sandoval has built a distinguished career of more than 20 years across NCAA and NAIA institutions, shaping programs at Azusa Pacific, Southeastern University, the University of Tennessee at Martin and the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Most recently, he served as deputy director of athletics at the University of La Verne, where he oversaw department development, operations and compliance.
“Cesar’s dedication to student achievement and his proven ability to elevate athletic programs make him an exceptional fit to lead Westcliff’s championship-level athletics department,” said Anthony Lee, Ph.D., president and CEO of Westcliff.
His appointment reflects Westcliff’s continued commitment to cultivating success both on the field and in the classroom. Today, Westcliff Athletics supports more than 350 student-athletes and has secured 27 conference titles, 35 championships, 13 individual titles and eight national trophies across its programs.
Looking ahead, Rivas-Sandoval said, “I look forward to advancing this remarkable program, celebrating achievements and fostering growth for every member of the Warrior family.”
